Victor I. Hoagland Sr. (born May 4, 1936 – died January 12, 2002) was a talented American soul singer. Many people knew him by his stage name, Hoagy Lands.
About Hoagy Lands
Hoagy Lands was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, in the United States. His father was from Afro-Cuban heritage. His mother was African American with American Indian roots.
When he was younger, Hoagy formed a music group at Roosevelt Junior High School in Elizabeth, New Jersey. They called themselves TNB Dynaflows.
Hoagy Lands started his music career in the late 1950s. He continued recording songs until the mid-1970s. He even sang a few duets with another artist named Lily Field. Sadly, Hoagy passed away in Orange, New Jersey, in 2002 after heart surgery. He had made some appearances in England shortly before his death.
