Holmes à Court Gallery facts for kids
The Holmes à Court Gallery is a cool place in Western Australia where you can see amazing art. It has two main spots. One gallery is in the old Vasse Felix winery near Margaret River in a town called Cowaramup. The other gallery is in West Perth. A person named Janet Holmes à Court owns this gallery.
What You Can See at the Gallery
The gallery shows off artworks from the Holmes à Court Collection. They have different art shows throughout the year. These shows change with the seasons, so there's always something new.
There's also a special sculpture garden. It's outside, stretching into the beautiful grounds of the Vasse Felix winery. Here, you can see sculptures made by local artists. They are placed among the plants and trees.
In 2013, the gallery had a unique show. It was called The Art of Sound. They worked with the National Film and Sound Archive to create this exhibition.
How the Gallery Started
Before its current locations, the gallery was in East Perth. That location closed in October 2010.

The Holmes à Court family loved Australian art. They started collecting artworks in the early 1970s. Their collection is now famous around the world. It has more than 5,000 artworks. Many of these pieces are very important culturally.
