Holmes à Court Gallery facts for kids
The Holmes à Court Gallery is a cool art gallery found at the first Vasse Felix winery. This winery is in a place called Cowaramup, which is close to Margaret River in Western Australia. A lady named Janet Holmes à Court owns this special gallery. It's a great spot to see amazing art!
What You Can See at the Gallery
The gallery shows off artworks from the Holmes à Court Collection. They change the art often, so there are always new and exciting things to see. These are called "seasonal exhibitions" because they change with the seasons or at different times of the year.
Outside the gallery, there's a lovely sculpture garden. It's part of the Vasse Felix winery grounds. Here, you can find sculptures made by artists from the local area, placed beautifully among the plants and trees.
In 2013, the gallery had a really interesting show called The Art of Sound. They worked with the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia to create this unique exhibition.
History of the Gallery
The Holmes à Court Gallery used to be in East Perth. But in October 2010, it moved to its current home at the Vasse Felix winery. This new spot lets visitors enjoy both art and the beautiful winery setting.
