Homayoun Shajarian (Persian: همايون شجريان) was born on May 21, 1975. He is a famous Iranian singer. Homayoun is the son of the well-known Iranian singer Mohammad-Reza Shajarian. He learned how to sing from his father. He started his music career in the 1990s.

Early Life and Musical Journey
Homayoun Shajarian was born in Tehran, Iran. His father, Mohammad-Reza Shajarian, was a very important singer of Persian traditional music. From a young age, Homayoun started learning music.
Learning Music
He began by studying the tombak. This is a type of Persian hand drum. He also learned Avaz, which is a traditional Persian singing style. Later, he went to the Tehran Conservatory of Music. There, he chose the Kamancheh as his main instrument. The Kamancheh is a bowed string instrument. He was taught by a great musician named Ardeshir Kamkar.
First Steps as a Singer
In 1991, Homayoun started joining his father's concerts. He played the Tombak with the Ava Music Ensemble. They performed in the United States, Europe, and Iran. From 1999, he also began singing with his father. His first solo album was called Nassim-e Vasl. It came out on his 28th birthday in 2003. During the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, he performed a live-stream concert. In July 2024, he worked with Sami Yusuf on a new song and music video.
Personal Life
Homayoun Shajarian was married to Guitta Khansari. They have a daughter named Yasmine. Yasmine was born in Tehran, Iran, in 2007. Homayoun and Guitta later divorced.
