Honey Creek State Park facts for kids
The Honey Creek Area at Grand Lake State Park is a fun Oklahoma state park located on Grand Lake. It's near the city of Grove, Oklahoma in Delaware County, Oklahoma. This park covers about 30-acre (120,000 m2) of land. It used to be called Honey Creek State Park.
This park is a great place to visit if you love the outdoors! It offers many ways to enjoy Grand Lake, like fishing and boating.
What You Can Do at Honey Creek
Honey Creek Area has lots of cool things for visitors to enjoy. You can find places to stay, like RV sites and tent sites. The roads and RV spots are paved, making it easy to get around.
For water fun, there's a lighted boat ramp. This makes it easy to launch your boat, even at night. There's also a special boat dock for loading and unloading your gear. If you love fishing, there's a fishing dock and a place to clean your fish.
When you're not on the water, you can relax in picnic areas. There are two covered shelters for groups, perfect for parties or family gatherings. You'll also find outdoor grills if you want to cook your own food.
The park has four comfort stations with showers, so you can clean up after a day of adventures. There's also a dump station for RVs. Kids will love the playground, and everyone can cool off in the swimming pool!
Park Fees
To help keep the park nice and make improvements, there is a small fee to enter Honey Creek Area. This fee started on June 15, 2020.
The daily fee for a car is $10. If you live in Oklahoma and have an Oklahoma license plate, it's $8 per day. Some people don't have to pay, like honorably discharged veterans and Oklahoma residents who are 62 or older (and their spouses).
You can also buy passes for three days or a week. If you plan to visit many state parks, an annual pass is a good idea. It costs $75 for visitors from out of state and $60 for Oklahoma residents. This pass works at 22 state parks that charge fees.
