Honey Puffs is a yummy breakfast cereal. It is made by the Sanitarium Health and Wellbeing Company. You can find Honey Puffs in New Zealand. It was once sold in Australia under the name Honey Weets. This cereal is made from puffed pieces of wheat. Each piece is lightly coated all over with real honey.

On March 27, 2024, Sanitarium announced some news. They will stop making Honey Puffs. The cereal will no longer be available by June 2025.

Discovering the Honey Puffs Box

The Honey Puffs box has a cool design. On the front, you'll see a 3D bee. This bee wears a red cap and red shoes. It looks like it's skating away from a cereal bowl. The bee is on a blue ramp.

The box also tells you important things. It says Honey Puffs are made with real honey. They do not have any artificial colours. They also do not have any artificial flavours. The cereal is safe for kids with nut allergies. It is also 99% fat-free.

On the back of the box, there's a game. It's called "Sticky Stucky." The same bee from the front is there. You can also spot two bees with blue shoes. Another bee wears green shoes. They are all flying around. Plus, three bees are hiding. They are tucked between two flowers in a hive.

The History of Honey Puffs

Honey Puffs has an interesting past. In 2003, a group called The Australian Consumers Association checked many cereals. They looked at nearly 200 different kinds. Honey Puffs was one of the few cereals they said was "okay." This rating was based on its nutritional value.

A New Zealand TV show once held a fun contest. It was called "The Honey Puffs Mad Movie Challenge." The show was named Studio 2 Live. Kids who entered the competition made short movies. Each movie had to include a bee character. And, of course, a box of Honey Puffs had to be in the movie too!

On March 27, 2024, Sanitarium made a big announcement. They decided to stop making Honey Puffs. This will happen by June 2025. They are also discontinuing several other cereals. These include Cluster Crisp, Granola, Light 'n' Tasty, Muesli, Weet-Bix Clusters, Weeties, and Puffed Wheat. Sanitarium is stopping these cereals because their sales are going down. These products make up less than 10% of all Sanitarium's sales.
