House Springs is a small community located in Jefferson County, Missouri, in the United States. It's not a city with its own government, but rather an "unincorporated community," meaning it's part of the larger county area. You can find it just off Route 30, where it meets Routes MM and W, close to Byrnes Mill.

This community has a long history! A post office has been helping people send mail in House Springs since 1833. The name "House Springs" comes from an early settler named Adam House. He arrived in the area around 1795. Sadly, he was killed near a natural spring by Native Americans, and that event gave the community its unique name.

Two important historical sites in House Springs are recognized nationally. The Valentine Leight General Store and the Moder Archeological District are both listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This means they are special places that help us learn about the past.
