Hovav Sekulets (Hebrew: חובב סקולץ; born 19 November 1986), known as Hovi Star (Hebrew: חובי סטאר), is a singer from Israel. He is famous for representing Israel in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016. He sang the song "Made of Stars" in the contest.

About Hovi Star
Hovav Sekulets, also known as Hovi Star, was born in Kiryat-Ata, Israel. When he was six years old, he started trying out for children's TV shows. Later, he served in the Israel Defense Forces for three years. During this time, he was part of the IDF Band. Hovi Star is also trained in hairstyling and makeup.
His Music and TV Journey
In 2009, Hovi Star joined Kokhav Nolad, which is Israel's version of the Idol singing competition. He finished in seventh place. In the same year, he also took part in the "Children's Song Festival" in Israel. He sang his own song called "Little boy, big boy."
Hovi Star continued his music career. He released songs like "Playing dangerous" and "Boyfriend." He also toured around the world, performing in many countries. As a songwriter, Hovi Star has written songs for other Israeli singers.
He has also lent his voice to many animated movies and TV shows. He worked as a voice actor for the Hebrew versions of films like Lego, Inside Out, Frozen Fever, and Paddington Bear. In 2016, Hovi Star played a special role in the Israeli version of "The Little Mermaid."

In 2015, Hovi Star competed in HaKokhav HaBa La'Eirovizion. This TV show helps choose who will represent Israel at the Eurovision Song Contest. Hovi Star won the show and earned the chance to represent his country.
He went to the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Stockholm, Sweden. He sang his song "Made of Stars." In the semifinal round, he performed well and made it to the final. In the Grand Final, Hovi Star finished in 14th place overall. He received high scores from the professional judges, including 12 points from Germany.
