Huarina is a town in Bolivia, a country in South America. It is located in the La Paz Department. Huarina is the main town, or seat, of the Huarina Municipality. This municipality is one of four in the Omasuyos Province. A very important person, Andrés de Santa Cruz, who later became President of Peru, was born here.
Climate in Huarina
Huarina has a cool climate because it is very high up in the mountains. The weather changes throughout the year.
Temperature and Seasons
The average temperature in Huarina is usually around 9 to 10 degrees Celsius (48-50 degrees Fahrenheit). The warmest months are from October to December. The coldest months are June and July. During these colder months, temperatures can drop below freezing, especially at night.
Rainfall and Humidity
Huarina gets most of its rain during the summer, from December to March. January is usually the wettest month. The dry season is from May to August. During the dry season, there is very little rain. The air is also less humid (drier) during these months.
