Hue, Ohio facts for kids
Hue is a small place in Ohio, United States. It's called an "unincorporated community." This means it doesn't have its own local government, like a mayor or a city council. Instead, it's part of a larger area called Swan Township in Vinton County.
A Look Back: History of Hue
In the past, a very important building for communities was the post office. It was where people sent and received letters, packages, and news. A post office was opened in Hue in 1882. This would have been a central spot for people living in and around Hue to connect with the rest of the world. However, the post office in Hue eventually closed its doors in 1907. This might have happened because fewer people lived there, or perhaps new ways of transportation made it easier to get mail from a nearby town.
