Huejotitán is a small village located in the northern part of Mexico. It is the main town, also known as the "seat," of the municipality of Huejotitán. This area is found within the large Mexican state of Chihuahua.

History of Huejotitán
Early Beginnings: Jesuit Mission
Huejotitán has a long history. Around the year 1640, it became the location for a special kind of settlement called a Jesuit mission. Jesuit missions were places set up by a group of Catholic priests called Jesuits.
Purpose of the Mission
These missions were created to teach and convert the local Tarahumara people to Christianity. They also aimed to introduce new farming methods and ways of life. The mission in Huejotitán played an important role in the history of the region.
