About Hugh Lupton
His Early Life
Hugh Lupton was born in 1952. He was the oldest child of Francis G. H. Lupton and Mary Gee. He is the great-nephew of a famous writer named Arthur Ransome. Arthur Ransome wrote classic children's stories. Hugh often visited his great-uncle when he was a boy. He remembers hearing stories about places like Norfolk and the Lake District. Hugh said that stories were very important to him as he grew up.
Hugh was born in Cambridgeshire, England. He went to school at King's College School, Cambridge. Later, he studied to become a teacher in Norwich. Around 2013, he was living near Aylsham.
Becoming a Storyteller
In 1985, Hugh Lupton helped start a group called the Company of Storytellers. He started it with Ben Haggarty
and Sally Pomme Clayton. For a while, he also helped run a storytelling club in Norfolk called The Crick Crack Club.Hugh tells many different kinds of stories. He tells long, epic tales like the Iliad and the Odyssey. These are ancient Greek stories about heroes and adventures. He also tells shorter stories. Some of these are from old folktales, like The Three Snake Leaves.

Awards and Recognition
