Huirangi is a small community located in the beautiful Taranaki area of New Zealand. It's about 7 kilometres north of the town of Waitara. The Waitara River flows right past Huirangi on its eastern side. A cool bridge called the Bertrand Road suspension bridge helps people cross the river there.

Huirangi is home to Huirangi School, which is a primary school for students in years 1 to 6. This means it teaches kids from around 5 years old up to about 10 or 11. The school is for both boys and girls. In 1972, the school and the local area celebrated their 100th birthday, which is called a centennial jubilee!
Famous Faces from Huirangi
One notable person from Huirangi was Elsie Andrews (1888–1948). She was a dedicated teacher and a very important leader in the community. She helped make Huirangi a better place for everyone.
