Hulne Park is a beautiful and historic park located in Northumberland, England. It is the last remaining of three large parks that once surrounded Alnwick Castle. For many years, these parks provided important resources like wood and meat for the powerful Percy family, who are also known as the Dukes of Northumberland.

Exploring Hulne Park

Hulne Park is surrounded by a large wall. Its beautiful design was created by a famous landscape architect named Capability Brown. He was known for making natural-looking gardens and parks.

Historic Landmarks Inside the Park

Inside Hulne Park, you can find several interesting old buildings and sites:

  • Hulne Priory: This is an ancient religious building.
  • Brizlee Tower: A tall, eye-catching tower.
  • Alnwick Abbey: While it's within the park, the public cannot visit this abbey anymore.

There is also a special cave called the Nine Year Aud Hole. The entrance to this cave is guarded by a statue of a White Friar. This statue is very old, probably from the 1700s, and is considered a protected historic item.
