Borges started his football career playing for smaller clubs in Brazil. He worked hard and showed great talent, which helped him move to bigger teams.
Early Career Highlights
Borges played for clubs like União São João and Jataiense. He played very well for União São João, which led him to join Paraná. During his time at Jataiense, he scored many goals in the Campeonato Goiano league.
Playing in Japan: Vegalta Sendai
In 2006, Borges moved to Japan to play for the team Vegalta Sendai. He had a fantastic season there. He became the top scorer in the J2 League for 2006, which means he scored more goals than any other player in that league.
Success with São Paulo
After his great performance in Japan, Borges returned to Brazil. He joined São Paulo in 2007. This was a very successful time for him and the club.
