History of Huntersville
Huntersville was first established in 1836. It was named after Jabas Hunter, who was one of the first settlers to live in that area.
A post office was opened in Huntersville in 1839. This was an important place for people to send and receive letters and packages. The post office served the community for many years before it closed down in 1875.
