Huntsburg's Story: A Look Back
The history of Huntsburg goes back a long time! In 1823, a post office was opened there, and it was first called "Huntsburgh." Later, in 1893, the name was changed to the simpler "Huntsburg."
The community got its name from a person named Eben Hunt. He was the very first owner of the land where Huntsburg is located today.
