If the Pig Had Wings facts for kids

Kdyby prase mělo křídla (which means "If the Pig Had Wings") is a super fun music album made especially for children. It features songs by the talented Czech musician Petr Skoumal. The lyrics for these songs come from cool rhymes written by Emanuel Frynta and Pavel Šrut.

This album was first recorded in Petr Skoumal's own studio between 1990 and 1991. It was then released by Bonton in 1991. Later, in March 2012, a newer, improved version of the album was released by Supraphon.

The main song, "If the Pig Had Wings," is based on a famous rhyme by James Reeves. It's a playful idea about what would happen if pigs could fly!

From Album to Stage

In 1996, the album became even more popular when it was turned into a live show! Petr Skoumal teamed up with stage director Jan Borna and actor Jan Vondráček. They created a performance based on the album's songs.

This exciting show was performed at the Divadlo v Dlouhé theater. It was so popular that it stayed on stage for many years, until March 2013. In total, there were 288 performances, which is a lot of shows!
