Ignacio Rodríguez Mazón, often called Nacho, was born on June 12, 1996. He is a Spanish field hockey player. He plays as a defender for Club de Campo, a team in Spain's top league, the División de Honor. Nacho played many games for the Spanish national team. From 2018 to 2024, he played 128 matches and scored 7 goals.

Playing for Clubs
Ignacio Rodríguez started his club career in his hometown of Santander. He played for a team called El Tenis. He stayed with El Tenis until 2017.
Moving to Madrid
In 2017, Nacho moved to Madrid to join Club de Campo. He played for this team for three seasons. After that, he went back to El Tenis for the 2020–21 season. However, after just one season, he returned to Club de Campo. He has been playing for Club de Campo ever since.
Playing for Spain
Ignacio Rodríguez also had a great career playing for his country. He first played for the main Spanish national team in January 2018. This was in a test match against the Welsh team.
Big Tournaments
Nacho represented Spain at the 2018 World Cup. This is a very important tournament in field hockey. In 2019, he played in the EuroHockey Championship. His team did very well and finished second, earning him a silver medal.
Retirement from National Team
After the 2024 Summer Olympics, Nacho Rodríguez decided to stop playing for the national team. He announced his retirement because it became too difficult to balance playing for Spain with his studies.
