Early Life and Youth Soccer
Ijah Halley started playing soccer when he was young. He played for youth teams like the Woodbridge Strikers and Erin Mills SC. In 2017, he joined the Toronto FC Academy. This is a special program for young players. It helps them develop their skills to become professional soccer players. He even played in some practice games with Toronto FC II, which is the second team for Toronto FC.
Becoming a Professional Player
Ijah Halley signed his first professional contract on April 27, 2020. He joined a team called York9 FC, which later became York United. This team plays in the Canadian Premier League, a top soccer league in Canada.
He played his first game on August 15, 2020. He came into the game as a substitute player against Atlético Ottawa. After the 2021 season, his contract with York United ended. They tried to agree on a new contract, but they could not.
In 2022, Ijah joined Scrosoppi FC. This team plays in League1 Ontario. Then, in March 2023, he moved to another team in League1 Ontario, the Simcoe County Rovers FC. He continues to play for them today.
