Ikuo Takahara (高原 郁夫, Takahara Ikuo, born October 14, 1957) is a former Japanese football player. He was a forward who played for Mitsubishi Motors and the Japan national team.

Ikuo Takahara was born on October 14, 1957. After finishing high school, he joined a football club called Mitsubishi Motors in 1976.
Big Wins with Mitsubishi Motors
Takahara had a very successful time with Mitsubishi Motors. In 1978, his team won three major football titles in Japan:
- The Japan Soccer League
- The JSL Cup
- The Emperor's Cup
They also won the 1980 Emperor's Cup and the 1981 JSL Cup in later years. Takahara played 64 games for the club and scored 15 goals. He stopped playing professional football in 1981.
Playing for Japan
In March 1980, Takahara was chosen to play for the Japan national team. This was for the qualification games for the 1980 Summer Olympics.
