Description: Baxter Cabin (also called Jenkins Cabin, after its latest owner) in the Great Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee. The cabin is located along the Maddron Bald Trail, near the Cocke County-Sevier County line. It was constructed by Willis Baxter and his son, William, in 1889. Baxter's chickenhouse is now located at the Mountain Farm Museum in Oconaluftee.
