Description: Kingman Lake in in Washington, D.C. in the United States in 1991. At the top of the image is the western shore of the lake. The domed building is the District of Columbia Armory and the stadium is the Robert F. Kennedy Stadium. Kingman Lake is the body of water with the island (Heritage Island) in it. The next body of land is Kingman Island. The body of water at the bottom of the photograph is the Anacostia River. The bridge is the Whitney Young Memorial Bridge (also known as the East Capitol Street Bridge). Anacostia Park occupies the western shore of Kingman Lake and the eastern short of the Anacostia River.
