Description: Picture of the South Side Market Building (or the South Side Market House), located at South 12th and Bingham Streets (Bedford Square) in the South Side Flats neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on November 22, 2009. The market building was built in 1915, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. An old sign under a concrete sculpture of a cow's head on the front of the building says, "Destroyed by fire and rebuilt AD 1915". The original market house on this spot was built in 1893, but burned around 1914 and was rebuilt in 1915. Architect: Charles Bickel. Architectural style: Richardsonian Romanesque, Romanesque Revival.
