Imperial Oaks is a community located in southern Montgomery County, Texas, United States. It's on the east side of Interstate 45. This area is considered an unincorporated community, which means it's not officially a city but still has many homes and services.

The community is quite large, covering about 1,400 acres. There are plans for Imperial Oaks to have around 3,600 single family homes. A special group called the Rayford Road Municipal Utility District helps manage services like water for the community.

How Imperial Oaks Started

Imperial Oaks began to be developed in 1990. A person named Holcomb Schubert formed a group called the Imperial Oaks Joint Venture. They were the ones who started building this community.

Kaufman Elementary School

Irons Junior High School

In August 2012, a new school called Gerald D. Irons, Sr. Junior High School was scheduled to open. This new junior high school took in all the students who were previously going to Vogel Intermediate School from the Imperial Oaks area.
