In the Path of the Storm is an exciting adventure book for young readers. It is the sixth story in the popular The Animals of Farthing Wood series, written by Colin Dann. This book first came out in 1989. It tells more tales about the brave animals from Farthing Wood as they face new challenges in White Deer Park.
What Happens in This Adventure?
The story begins with a big change in White Deer Park. The old leader of the deer, known as the Great Stag, passes away. This leaves the park's smaller animals feeling unsure about their future.
A strong and sometimes scary stag named Trey takes over as the new leader. Trey believes there is not enough room for all the smaller creatures in the nature reserve. This creates a lot of worry for the animals of Farthing Wood. Meanwhile, Tawny Owl decides he wants to find a partner. He leaves the park to search for a mate. This journey adds another exciting part to the story.
