Indianola is a small, unincorporated community located in Sanpete County, Utah, United States. It is found east of U.S. Route 89, near Thistle Creek. Indianola is about 12 miles (19 km) northeast of Fairview.
This area has a rich history. Long ago, a Native American village existed here. Later, during the time of pioneers, this very spot was chosen to be a reservation for Native Americans. The community of Indianola was officially settled in 1871.
Indianola's Climate
The weather in Indianola changes a lot with the seasons. Summers are usually warm to hot, and sometimes they can be humid. Winters are cold, and sometimes they get very cold. This type of weather is known as a humid continental climate. On climate maps, it's often shown as "Dfb." This means there are big differences between the temperatures in summer and winter.
