Inlet, Ohio facts for kids
Inlet is a small place in Fulton County, Ohio. It is known as an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and businesses that don't have their own local government, like a city or a village would. Instead, it's part of the larger county or township.
A Look at Inlet's Past
Inlet has a short but interesting history. It once had its own post office. This post office opened in 1897. It helped people send and receive letters and packages for a few years. However, it closed down in 1903.
By 1920, Inlet was still an important spot in Chesterfield Township. It was one of only three communities listed in that area at the time. This shows that even without its own government, Inlet was a recognized place where people lived and worked.
