About Isabelle Ithurburu
Isabelle Ithurburu grew up in Pau, a city in France. Her father owned a grocery store. When she was younger, in 2001, she took part in a beauty contest. She was named Miss Pau-Béarn.
In 2005, Isabelle also tried out for Nouvelle Star. This was a popular TV singing competition in France. She made it to the top 15 contestants who sang live on TV.
Starting Her TV Career
After finishing her studies in international trade, Isabelle started her TV career in 2009. She joined the channel Infosport+, which is part of the Canal+ Group. There, she presented many different sports programs. These included shows like Sports Dimanche, L'Édition du Soir, and La Matinale Sports.
During the 2011 Rugby World Cup, she hosted a special show. It was called Jour de Coupe du monde and aired every weekend on Canal+.
Moving to Bigger Shows
In 2012, Isabelle took over a new role on Canal+. She started presenting Samedi Sport. She also continued to host Des décodeurs on Infosport+.
Later, for the 2012–13 TV season, Isabelle began hosting Jour de rugby. This is a very popular show about rugby. She also covered the famous Wimbledon Championships tennis tournament. Plus, she presented a documentary series called Grand Format on Canal+ Sport.
Isabelle's Personal Life
In 2010, Isabelle Ithurburu married Gonzalo Quesada. He is a former Argentinian rugby player. After his playing career, he became a rugby coach. Isabelle met Gonzalo when he was playing for the Section Paloise rugby club in Pau. This is the city where she grew up.
