Isaiah Johnston (born December 16, 2001) is a talented Canadian professional soccer player. He plays as a midfielder for HFX Wanderers. A midfielder is a player who helps both defend and attack on the field.

Isaiah Johnston's Early Life
Isaiah was born in Mississauga, Canada. When he was one year old, his family moved to Georgetown. He started playing soccer there at age six with Georgetown SC.
At thirteen, Isaiah and his family moved to Milton. He then played for Milton YSC. In 2017, he was chosen for the U18 Team Ontario. This team played in the 2017 Canada Summer Games.
University Soccer Career
In October 2018, Isaiah decided to attend Cape Breton University. He planned to play soccer for the Cape Breton Capers starting in the fall of 2019. During his first year in 2019, he was named Player of the Game twice.
One time was on September 15 in a big 5–0 win. This was against the Mount Allison Mounties. The other time was on September 22 in a 6–0 win. This game was against the Acadia Axemen.
In his first season, he won a bronze medal at the national championships. He was also named the AUS Rookie of the Year. He was even chosen for the All-Rookie Team. After just one season, he left Cape Breton to become a professional player.
Professional Club Career
Starting with Woodbridge Strikers
From 2017 to 2019, Isaiah played for the League1 Ontario team, Woodbridge Strikers. In 2019, he was invited to practice with York9 FC. This team is part of the Canadian Premier League. He was even invited to their training camp in the Dominican Republic.
Playing for York United
At the 2019 CPL–U Sports Draft, Isaiah was picked 10th overall by York9 FC. This team later changed its name to York United. In July 2020, he signed his first professional contract with York.
The year 2021 was a big year for Isaiah. He started playing regularly for the team. He was even ranked as the 27th best player in the Canadian Premier League. Isaiah scored his first goal for York on July 24, 2021. This goal was against FC Edmonton. In 2021, he was also nominated for the CPL Assist of the Year award. In November 2021, he signed a new contract with the club. On July 15, 2022, he helped his team by making two assists. This was in a game against Pacific FC.
Moving to Huntsville City FC
In December 2022, Isaiah moved to MLS Next Pro team Huntsville City FC. This team is the reserve side for Nashville SC. He joined them for the 2023 season. He was the very first player to sign with the team!
He played his first game on March 26 against Crown Legacy FC. He scored his first goal on May 12 against Chicago Fire FC II. On July 9, 2023, he scored two goals in one game. This helped his team win 6-2 against Orlando City B.
Joining Loudoun United FC
In late June 2024, Isaiah transferred to USL Championship club Loudoun United FC. He signed a two-year contract with options for more years. He made his first appearance on June 29. He came into the game as a substitute against the Tampa Bay Rowdies.
Back to Canada with HFX Wanderers
On January 15, 2025, Isaiah was sold to Canadian Premier League team HFX Wanderers. He signed a two-year contract with an option for 2027.
International Soccer Career
In 2016, Isaiah started playing for the Canadian youth program. He was just 14 years old. He attended a special camp for the Canada U15 team. In May 2016, he was chosen for the Canada U15 Select squad. This team played against academy teams like Toronto FC Academy and Montreal Impact Academy.
