Isak Andic Ermay (born October 1953 – died December 14, 2024) was a Spanish businessman. He was famous for starting the clothing store chain Mango. He was also the biggest owner of the company.
He was a very rich person. In December 2024, the magazine Forbes said he was worth about $4.5 billion US dollars.

The Story of Isak Andic
Isak Andic was born in Istanbul, Turkey, in October 1953. His family moved from Turkey to Barcelona, Spain, in 1969.
How Mango Started
In Barcelona, Isak and his brother Nahman started selling hand-embroidered T-shirts and clogs. They opened their first shops in Barcelona and Madrid. At first, they sold their own brand called "Isak Jeans." Later, they started selling other clothing brands too.
In 1984, Isak joined with another businessman, Enric Cusí, and his brother. They decided to rename all their stores to Mango. Isak chose the name "Mango" because he liked the taste of the fruit during a trip to the Philippines.
Other Business Ventures
In 2006, Isak Andic became a director at Banco Sabadell, which is a big bank. By 2012, he owned the largest share of the bank, about 7%.
According to Forbes magazine, Isak Andic was the richest person in Catalonia in November 2023. His wealth was estimated at about 2.7 billion Euros.
Andic's Family Life
Isak Andic was divorced from Neus Raig Tarragó. They had three children together.
His oldest son, Jonathan Andic, was born in 1981. He was chosen to take over the Mango company in 2012. His daughter, Judith Andic, born in 1984, also works for Mango. His youngest daughter is Sarah Andic, born in 1997.
Isak Andic lived in Barcelona, Spain. He was also a member of an important advisory board for a business school called IESE.
Isak Andic passed away on December 14, 2024, when he was 71 years old. He died after falling during a visit to the Salnitre CavesCollbató.
inAwards and Recognition
In 2024, Isak Andic received a special award. It was called the Kingdom of Spain Entrepreneurial Career Award. This award recognized his long and successful career in business.
