A Dream for Hungarian Art

István Ferenczy had a big dream. He wanted to start a special school for sculpture in Hungary. His main goal was to help create and promote a unique national art style for his country.

Even though he tried very hard, he was not able to set up a successful sculpture school. However, his work was very important. Many of his sculptures are now kept in the Hungarian National Gallery. They stand as a symbol of Hungarian art from the first half of the 1800s.
