Ivanof Bay (Sugpiaq: Kangi'asinaq) is a very small place in Alaska, United States. It's so small that only one person lived there in 2020! This tiny community is located in the Lake and Peninsula Borough. It is called a census-designated place (CDP) because the government counts its population.

Where is Ivanof Bay?

Ivanof Bay is located on the southern side of the Alaska Peninsula. This is a long piece of land that sticks out into the Pacific Ocean. It's the most southwestern community in the Lake and Peninsula Borough.

The community is about 13 miles (21 km) west of Perryville. It's also about 53 miles (85 km) northeast of Sand Point. The area of Ivanof Bay is about 4.19 square miles (10.86 square kilometers). All of this area is land. The village sits at the northern end of a bay that shares its name. This bay is an arm of the Pacific Ocean.
