Ivo Zorman (born May 3, 1926 – died January 14, 2009) was a famous Slovene writer and editor. He wrote many interesting short stories and novels. He also created plays for the radio.
Zorman was born in a small village called Gora near Komenda in central Slovenia. This was in 1926. He went to school in Ljubljana. When he was a young man, he joined the Slovene resistance. These were groups who fought for their country during a big war.
After the war, he worked as a teacher for a while. Later, he became an editor. He worked as an editor until he retired in 1977. His experiences during the war often gave him ideas for his stories.
One of his most well-known novels is Draga moja Iza. This means "My Dear Iza." It was so popular that it was even made into a film in 1979. Ivo Zorman passed away in Kamnik in 2009.
In 1969, he received a special prize called the Levstik Award. He won this award for his book V tem mesecu se osipa mak. This title means "This is the Month the Poppies Scatter."

- V tem mesecu se osipa mak (This is the Month the Poppies Scatter), published in 1969, won him an award.
- V sedemnajstem (At Seventeen), from 1972, explores what it's like to be that age.
- Tinčevi divji doživljaji (Little Tine's Wild Adventures), from 1978, is a story for younger readers.
- Bolničarka Vida (Vida the Partisan Nurse), also from 1978, shows his interest in war themes.
- Hrčki smrčki (Sniffy Hamsters), published in 1983, is another fun story.
