What is Heptathlon?

The heptathlon is a track and field event that combines seven different athletic challenges. Athletes compete in all seven events over two days. It tests a wide range of skills, including speed, strength, jumping, and throwing.

The seven events are:

  • Day 1:
    • 100 meters hurdles
    • High jump
    • Shot put
    • 200 meters
  • Day 2:
    • Long jump
    • Javelin throw
    • 800 meters

Athletes earn points for their performance in each event. The person with the most points at the end of all seven events wins.
