Jackie Moore (1946 – November 8, 2019) was an American R&B singer. R&B stands for Rhythm and Blues, a popular style of music. She was born in Jacksonville, Florida.

Jackie Moore is best known for her 1970 song "Precious, Precious." This song was a huge hit! It reached number 30 on the Billboard Hot 100 music chart in 1971. The song sold over one million copies. Because of this, it earned a "gold disc" award from the R.I.A.A. in March 1971.

Another big hit for Jackie was her 1979 disco song "This Time Baby." This song reached number 1 on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. It also became popular in the UK, reaching number 49 on their singles chart. Later, parts of "This Time Baby" were used in a 2005 dance hit called "Love on My Mind."

In 1973, Jackie Moore also had a pop music hit called "Sweet Charlie Babe." This song reached number 42 on the US pop chart. She recorded it with the Philadelphia Strings and Horns.

Jackie Moore's Music Career

Before joining Atlantic Records and Columbia Records, Jackie Moore recorded music for Wand Records. One of her songs from that time was "Who Told You." Her very first song, "Dear John," came out in 1969 on Shout Records.

Her song "This Time Baby" was also featured in the popular video game, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories.
