How the Hotel Was Built

Later Additions to the Building
In 1885, a two-story brick addition was built behind the center section. A few years later, in 1888, a large three-story brick part was added to the west side. Another three-story addition was built on the east side a few years after that. All three sections of the hotel that face Jackson Street are made of red brick.
