Jacqueline Elaine "Jacque" Reid is a well-known American television and radio host. She is also a journalist. From 2001 to 2005, Jacque was the main news anchor for The BET Nightly News. Today, she helps host a show called "New York Live" on NBC in New York City. She has also been a guest host on the popular talk show The View.

Jacque Reid's Early Career and Education

Jacque started her career as a journalist by reporting and anchoring the news. She worked at TV stations like WBSG-TV in Brunswick, Georgia and WKYT-TV in Lexington, Kentucky. Later, she joined KPRC-TV in Houston, Texas. After that, she anchored the morning news for CNN Headline News.

Jacque studied at the University of Georgia. She then moved to Clark Atlanta University. There, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in print journalism. In 1991, she earned a Master's degree in Broadcast journalism from Northwestern University. Jacque is an active member of the National Association of Black Journalists. This group supports Black journalists. She is also a member of the Delta Sigma Theta sorority.
