Early Career in South Africa

Jacques Potgieter started his rugby journey playing for the Eastern Province team in 2004. He then joined the Sharks, where he played at different youth levels. After that, he played in the Vodacom Cup, which is a rugby competition in South Africa.

In 2009, he moved back to play for the Eastern Province Kings. He played in the Currie Cup First Division, another important rugby tournament in South Africa.

Playing for the Bulls

In 2011, Jacques joined the Blue Bulls team. He signed a contract to play for them starting in 2012. He also played for the Bulls, which is the Super Rugby team linked to the Blue Bulls. Super Rugby is a major international rugby competition.
