Mukudzeyi Sean Mukombe (born on July 4, 1987), known as Jah Prayzah, is a famous musician from Zimbabwe. He is the main singer of the band Third Generation. People know him for mixing traditional Zimbabwean music with modern styles like Afrobeats and reggae. Fans often call him "Masoja," which means "soldier" in Shona, because he wears military-style clothes on stage. His stage name, "Jah Prayzah," comes from his first name, Mukudzeyi, which means "Praise Him."

Early Life and School
Jah Prayzah grew up in a rural area called Uzumba-Maramba-Pfungwe in Zimbabwe. He is the youngest of five children. From a young age, he loved music, especially traditional instruments like the mbira. He went to Musamhi Primary and High School. Later, he moved to Harare to finish his high school studies.
Music Journey
Jah Prayzah started recording music in the early 2000s. His first album, Sungano Yerudo, came out in 2007. After that, he released Rudo Nerunyararo and Ngwarira Kuparara. The album Ngwarira Kuparara included a popular song called “Dande,” which featured Chiwoniso Maraire.
He became very famous in 2013 with his album Tsviriyo. The song "Gochi Gochi" from this album won the Song of the Year award at the NAMA awards.
Jah Prayzah's music mixes Afrobeats, reggae, and traditional mbira sounds. He has worked with other big artists, like Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz. Their song “Watora Mari” became very popular across Africa.
In 2023, he released two albums at the same time: Chiremerera and Maita Baba. He held huge concerts in Harare and Bulawayo to celebrate. His newest album, Ndini Mukudzeyi, was released on May 3, 2025, with a launch event at Old Hararians Sports Club.
World Tours
Jah Prayzah has performed in many countries around the world. He has visited the UK, Australia, the US, South Africa, Canada, and China. In 2025, he had to cancel his shows in the US because of delays with his visa. However, he was able to perform his planned shows in Edmonton and Toronto, Canada.
Gifts and Support
Jah Prayzah has a public friendship with Zimbabwean businessman Wicknell Chivayo. Mr. Chivayo has given Jah Prayzah many generous gifts.
In May 2025, Mr. Chivayo gave Jah Prayzah a new 2025 Range Rover Autobiography car and US$150,000. On Jah Prayzah's birthday, July 4, 2025, Mr. Chivayo also gifted Jah Prayzah's wife, Rufaro, a new 2025 Land Rover Defender.
Mr. Chivayo also supported Jah Prayzah's band. Ten senior band members each received a Toyota Aqua car. The band manager was given a Mercedes-Benz C-Class car. Mr. Chivayo also promised to give cars to the remaining 16 support staff members by August 2025.
Family Life
Jah Prayzah is married to Rufaro Chiworeso. He met her through his brother, Nigel. They have four children together: a son named Mukudzeyi Jr., and three daughters named Keanna, Kayla, and Kelly.
He also has another son from a previous relationship. In April 2025, his daughter Kayla appeared in the music video for his song “Kuno.” Jah Prayzah's father, John Mukombe, passed away in January 2024.
