Jai Desmond Taurima (born 26 June 1972) is a retired Australian athlete. He was a talented long jumper. Jai was born in Southport, Queensland. People often called him 'Jumping Jai' or 'Jumping Jai Taurima'.
Jai Taurima achieved great success in his sport. He won a silver medal at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney. His amazing jump of 8.49 metres was his personal best. It was also an Oceanic record for the long jump.
