Jacob Mark "Jake" Pitts (born August 21, 1985) is an American musician. He is most famous as the lead guitarist for the rock band Black Veil Brides. Jake Pitts and his bandmate Jinxx won an award for "Best Guitarists" in 2012 from Revolver Magazine.

Jake Pitts' Music Journey
Jake Pitts got his first guitar when he was 10 years old. He didn't play it much at first. But when he was 13, he started listening to the band Metallica. He wanted to learn how to make music like them.
Learning to Play Guitar
Jake only took guitar lessons for about four months. After that, he decided to teach himself. His mother, Carolyn, was a classical pianist and composer. She taught him about music and harmony. This helped him understand how music works.
Musical Influences
Jake Pitts was inspired by many rock and heavy metal artists. Some of his favorite musicians include Van Halen, Scorpions, Paul Gilbert, Buckethead, Randy Rhoads, Pantera, Black Sabbath, Armored Saint, Dio, Manowar, Iced Earth, Darkthrone, Cannibal Corpse, Slayer, Avenged Sevenfold, Mötley Crüe, and Metallica.
Before Black Veil Brides
Before he joined Black Veil Brides, Jake Pitts played lead guitar in other bands. These bands were called the Perfect Victim and 80 Proof Riot.
Working as a Producer
Jake is also a certified recording engineer. This means he knows how to record music in a studio. He went to the Los Angeles Recording School in 2006. He helped produce two albums for Black Veil Brides. These were their fourth album and their fifth album, Vale.
He is also working on a new band called Aelonia with his spouse, Cory. Jake also produces music for other bands, like New Years Day.
Jake Pitts' Personal Life
Jake Pitts wrote the song "Carolyn" about his mother. He wrote it when she was very sick. Sadly, his mother, Carolyn, passed away on January 18, 2014.
Health and Fitness
Jake said that his mother's death made him think about his own health. He started working out and eating healthier. He also opened a fitness company. It's called Get Mean Fitness, and he started it with his friend Matt Yani.

Jake Pitts married Cory Logvin on February 3, 2017.
