Jamal Phillips (born on April 26, 1979) is an American rapper and record producer. He is known by his stage name Jamal, and sometimes by his earlier name, Mally G. He started his music journey in the early 1990s as part of a rap duo called Illegal. This group was created by Dallas Austin. Today, Jamal is a member of the music group Def Squad.
