James Earl Hardy (born in 1966 in New York City) is an American writer. He writes plays, novels, and works as a journalist. He is known for writing stories about the lives of African-American people. His most famous books are the B-Boy Blues series. This series has six novels and one short story. The book B-Boy Blues was made into a play in 2013. It was also made into a movie in 2021.
James Earl Hardy's Early Life and Education
James Earl Hardy went to St. John's University. He later studied journalism at Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. He finished there in 1993. From 1992 to 1994, he worked as a music journalist. He wrote for a magazine called Entertainment Weekly.
