Jamie Fox is a talented musician from the Assiniboine and Gros Ventre people. She is well-known for playing the Métis fiddle in the traditional style of Montana.
Jamie is part of the famous Fox family of fiddlers from the Fort Belknap Indian Reservation. She has performed in many places across the United States and Europe. In Europe, she often plays with her husband, Kristian Bugge, who is a traditional fiddler from Denmark. She has also worked with Ruthie Dornfeld, another old-time fiddler.
Jamie learned her special bowing technique from Marvin "Fatty" Morin, a respected fiddler from Montana.
