Jannat Mahid (born January 6, 1986) is a famous Moroccan-Egyptian singer and actress. She is known by her stage name, Jannat. Jannat was born in Morocco but now lives and performs in Egypt. She sings mostly in Egyptian Arabic and is one of the most popular young female singers in the Arab world.
Jannat started singing very young. When she was eight, she won her first singing competition in Morocco called "Stars of Tomorrow." She then performed in many local singing contests. At age fifteen, she won the "best singing voice in the Arab world" award at the Dubai Nights Festival in 2000. After this, she was invited to sing at the Cairo Opera House, which was her first time performing for an Egyptian audience.
A music producer named Ahmed Desouki noticed her talent at the opera house. He wanted to work with her, but Jannat was still in school in Morocco. After she finished her studies and earned a degree in business, Jannat focused completely on her singing career. Growing Up and Finding Her Voice
Jannat grew up with three older brothers. She was the youngest and the only girl in her family. Her love for singing appeared very early. When she was just five years old, her parents noticed her talent as she sang songs by famous artists like Umm Kulthum. Her mother, who was a singer herself, supported Jannat's passion.

In 2000, Jannat won first place for "Best Arabic Voice" at the "Layali Dubai" event, which was part of the Dubai Shopping Festival. She also won a competition in Alexandria, Egypt. A well-known music director, Ratiba El-Hefny, saw Jannat's talent and invited her to sing at the Cairo Congress of Arab Music. After signing, Jannat started working on her first studio album, Elli Beny W Benak. It took about a year and a half to prepare the album, as the producer wanted it to be perfect. The album was released in 2006 and became very successful. She also made a music video for the song "Aktar Min Sana" from this album. The songs on Elli Beny W Benak were mostly romantic and emotional, showing strong feelings.
Releasing More Hit Albums
Jannat continued to release successful albums with Good News 4 Music. Her second album, Hob Emtelak, came out in 2009 and was a huge hit in Egypt and across the Arab world. This success made Jannat one of the top new artists in the Middle East.
In 2012, Jannat signed a deal with the famous music label Rotana for three albums. Her third album, Hob Gamed, was released in 2013. This album brought her international success, especially with hit songs like "El Badi Azlam" and "Hob Gamed." She performed concerts in many countries, including Kuwait and Qatar.
