Jaraíz de la Vera has an interesting past. From 1964 to 1991, a special place was located here. It was called "The Institute of Studies on Ancient Weapons."

This institute was a research center. It was part of the Higher Council for Scientific Research. Scientists studied old weapons there. Ada Bruhn Hoffmeyer and her husband led this important institute. They helped us learn more about history.
