Jarrod Harbrow, born on July 18, 1988, is a former professional Australian rules footballer. He played for the Gold Coast Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL).

Early Life and Junior Football
Jarrod Harbrow was born in Cairns, Queensland. His mother is an Indigenous Australian from Cairns. His family has roots in the Yirrganydji and Kuku Yalanji rainforest tribes.
Jarrod started playing junior football in Cairns. He played for the Manunda Hawks and then the South Cairns teams. He also went to Woree State School in Cairns.
When Jarrod was 13, his brother became very ill. Jarrod and his family moved to Townsville for a year to help him. Jarrod even helped his brother get better. During this time, he played junior football for the Hermit Park Tigers. He also attended Townsville Grammar School.
In 2005, at age 16, Jarrod moved to Victoria. He played for the Mooroopna Football Club. Later, he joined the TAC Cup team, the Murray Bushrangers. This was to help him get noticed for the AFL Draft. He played for Queensland in the 2004 Under 16 and 2006 Under 18 AFL Championships. Both times, his team won their division.
Even though he was a talented player, he was not chosen in the 2006 AFL Draft. However, AFL scouts had already noticed his skills.
AFL Career Highlights
Starting with the Bulldogs
Jarrod Harbrow was drafted as a rookie player. The Western Bulldogs picked him in the 2007 rookie draft. He quickly showed his talent. After a short time playing for Werribee, a team linked to the Bulldogs, he made his AFL debut. This was in Round 4, 2007, against the Richmond Tigers.
He soon became a regular player for the Bulldogs. People were impressed by his speed and skill. He was also good at defending and running away from opponents.
In 2009, Jarrod started playing in defence. He became one of the Bulldogs' best players. He was known for stopping some of the league's top small forwards.
Moving to Gold Coast Suns
At the end of the 2010 season, Jarrod decided to join the Gold Coast Suns. He was one of the first players to join the new team. The Suns were a new club in Queensland, which was close to his home. This was a big reason for his move.
Jarrod played his 100th AFL game in 2012. This was against the Sydney Swans. In 2016, he became the first Gold Coast player to play 100 games for the club.
In 2018, Jarrod reached another milestone. He became the first Gold Coast player to play 150 games for the club. Because of this, the club made him a life member. He also won the Gold Coast Club Champion award in 2018. This is the club's best and fairest award.
On August 17, 2021, Jarrod Harbrow announced his retirement. He played his last game for the Suns against the Sydney Swans. He played a total of 262 AFL games. He holds the record for the most games played for the Gold Coast Suns, with 192 games.
