Jason Michael Weaver (born July 18, 1979) is an American actor and singer. He is well-known for his roles in TV shows like Smart Guy (where he played Marcus Henderson) and Thea (as Jerome Turrell). He also played a young Michael Jackson in the 1992 TV miniseries The Jacksons: An American Dream.
A cool fact about Jason Weaver is that he was the singing voice for young Simba in Disney's classic 1994 movie The Lion King. He also sang on the popular 2004 song "One Call Away" by Chingy. This song became a big hit, reaching number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Later, he played the character Teddy in the 2006 movie ATL.

Early Acting Roles
Jason Weaver began his acting journey in 1990. One of his first TV appearances was in a series called Brewster Place. Soon after, he took on the important role of a young Michael Jackson in the 1992 miniseries The Jacksons: An American Dream. This show told the story of the famous Jackson family.
He then starred in the TV sitcom Thea from 1993 to 1994. Later, from 1997 to 1999, he was a main character in another sitcom called Smart Guy. In this show, he played Marcus Henderson.
Singing for Simba
In 1992, Jason Weaver got a special role that many people remember him for. He provided the singing voice for the young Simba in Disney's amazing animated movie The Lion King. This movie came out in 1994 and became a huge success.
Later Film and TV Work
As he grew older, Jason continued to act in movies. In 2002, he appeared in Drumline alongside Nick Cannon. Two years later, in 2004, he was in the movie The Ladykillers.
Also in 2004, he was featured on the hit song "One Call Away" with rapper Chingy. He even appeared in the music video for the song! In 2006, he had a supporting role in the film ATL, which starred rappers T.I. and Big Boi. More recently, he has appeared in the popular TV show The Chi.

His first music album, called Love Ambition, was released in 1995 by Motown Records. He released a couple of different versions of his song "Stay with Me." In 2003, he teamed up with Chingy for the song "One Call Away", which became a top five hit in the United States.
Personal Life
Jason Weaver's mother is Marilyn "Kitty" Haywood. She was part of a singing group from Chicago called Kitty & the Haywoods. This group even sang backup for the famous singer Aretha Franklin on the soundtrack for the 1976 movie Sparkle.
Jason went to Thornwood High School. He has one son named Jaylen.
