Jason T. Wiltz, born on November 23, 1976, is a former American football player. He played as a defensive lineman in the National Football League (NFL). Jason was picked by the New York Jets in the 1999 NFL draft. He played college football at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Before college, he attended St. Augustine High School in New Orleans, Louisiana. Wiltz was also a member of the Chicago Bears. He was part of two national championship teams during his college career at Nebraska.

Joining the New York Jets
The New York Jets chose Jason Wiltz in the 1999 NFL Draft. He was the 123rd player picked overall in the fourth round. As a rookie, he made an immediate impact. He managed to get an interception in two games in a row. An interception happens when a defensive player catches a pass meant for an offensive player. This is a big play in football! The Jets later released him from the team on September 2, 2001.
Time with the Chicago Bears
After his time with the Jets, Jason Wiltz signed with the Chicago Bears. He joined the team on March 22, 2002. However, his time with the Bears was short. He was released by the team on September 1, 2002.
