Jaswant Singh Marwah joined the Indian Army in 1943. He was part of the Electrical Mechanical Engineering branch. This branch helps keep all the army's equipment, like tanks and vehicles, in good working order. He served in the army for 30 years, until 1973.

He is also a brave veteran of the Second World War. This was a huge global conflict that involved many countries. His service during this time shows his dedication to his country.

After his time in the army, Jaswant Singh Marwah continued to contribute to India. He worked as a Special Duty Officer for the Archaeological Survey of India. This group is very important because they find and protect ancient buildings and historical sites across India.
